Ford Motor has opened a research laboratory in Tel Aviv, Israel, to leverage the city's technology ecosystem to develop autonomous vehicles.
The facility will concentrate on technologies related to connectivity, sensors, automated-systems, in-vehicle monitoring, and cybersecurity.
Meanwhile, Renault and Nissan have launched a joint innovation center in Tel Aviv, extending their partnership to Israeli startups.
Intel, German auto supplier Continental, Samsung Electronics, Daimler, and General Motors also have established development centers or acquired startups in Israel.
