We still have lots of work to do on bias in AI, just as we need to figure out more pedestrian topics like traffic in bike lanes (or fault in car accidents involving self-driving cars).
We've been so worried about whether AI-driven robots will take our jobs that we forgot to ask a much more basic question: will they take our bike lanes? That's a question Austin, Texas, is currently grappling with.
But questions such as these point to all sorts of unresolved issues related to AI and robots, the biggest of those being the possibility, even likelihood, of bias in the algorithms.
